To touch the “SKY” i.e the ‘Skill Development, Knowledge Development and Youth Development’ is our vision and to serve society with this vision, is our mission. With this motto, Susrijo Charitable Trust was established in the year 2018 with its aim and objectives to cater to society especially in the predominantly rural district of Nadia and its neighboring districts by youth development especially with skill and knowledge development. As its first step, the trust started its activity with Surijo Skill Development Training Centre which started its journey from 2018 under the PBSSD programme of the Utkarsha Bangla project design under our W.B State Govt. We have started this offering four most effective skill development courses like General Duty Assistant, Self Employed Tailor, Domestic Data Entry Operator, and Hairdresser. With these, we can groom almost 1800 youths to be ready for employment or self – employment after completion of these courses half yearly. The trust has also initiated to start the Susrijo Institute of Paramedical Technology and Optometry under this trust’s management, from the ensuing session 2019-20 and the process of recognition is going on very fast. This institute aims to become a center of excellence in providing high-quality education, training, and technological orientation to individuals in acquiring extensive skill in the field of paramedical and optometric sciences so that they can enrich their lives by archiving lucrative carrier options and/or being self-employed. Thus the trust has printed its name in the map of its ‘SKY’ and is serving a public purpose solely for the purpose of social development and not for the purpose of profit. Besides, the trust has performed its social duty with several other activities during the 2018-19 financial year. It had held a Thalassemia awareness and detection programme among students and people; a number of reference books, copies, reading equipment distribution programme among needy students; football distribution programme among underprivileged children to enhance the physical and mental spirit. The Trust is also morally bound to serve the society in the future in the form of skill, knowledge, youth as well as cultural development under its charitable activity.
